Hadrian

Head Coach & Personal Trainer

Hadrian combines military discipline, and a fervent passion for fitness, making him a standout member of our coaching team.

His 10-year tenure as a U.S. Army combat medic infused him with a profound understanding of physiology and the importance of physical fitness. Now a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach, Hadrian’s methods are rooted in structured progress and resilience.

Specializing in strength and muscle building, he tailors programs that enhance functional strength and body recomposition. Starting January 2025, he will further his expertise with an Online Masters in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida.

Nicole, an exuberant coach with a strong background in group fitness, leverages over four years of group class coaching experience to create a dynamic training environment at The Workhouse.

Her journey in fitness, highlighted by her tenure as an L1 CrossFit Trainer and a certified ACE group class instructor, showcases her commitment to fostering holistic health transformations.

Nicole excels in guiding individuals from diverse fitness backgrounds, from beginners taking their first steps to advanced athletes refining their skills, towards achieving profound, sustainable changes in their health and well-being.

Nina

Strength Coach

Nina, an Appalachian State grad and former cross-country and track athlete, brings a blend of competitive spirit and fitness passion to our team.

A fervent mountain bike and cyclocross racer, she thrives on challenges and loves to lead strength classes at Workhouse, infusing each session with the same intensity she brings to the trails.

Nina’s love for EDM keeps her energized, and she often shares this vibe during her classes. Despite her high-energy lifestyle, she’s a self-proclaimed “crazy cat lady” with a beloved 16-pound black cat named Gigi and a penchant for iced coffee, no matter the season.

Strength Coach

Ashley is a graduate of Appalachian State with a degree in Exercise Science and a background in collegiate cheerleading. She’s also a full-time esthetician who loves coaching because it keeps her connected to health, movement, and helping people feel their best.

In class, Ashley is positive, supportive, and knows how to make hard work feel fun. She’ll guide your technique, encourage you through the tough reps, and isn’t afraid to dance a little when the music hits.

Her goal is simple: help you build confidence, get stronger, and enjoy the process along the way.

Leigh

Strength & Recovery Coach

A former D1 rower at UNC-Chapel Hill and lifelong athlete, Leigh brings energy, empathy, and a deep understanding of movement to every session. With a background in yoga, weight training, and recovery-based fitness, she’s passionate about helping members reconnect with their “why” — especially after overcoming injuries herself.

When she’s not leading our REBUILD and SQUAD classes, she’s either hiking, lifting, or diving into her new career path at Wake Forest’s PA Program. Bonus fun fact: she has a background in fisheries policy, so yes — she can probably outfish you.

Advanced Equipment

At The Workhouse Fitness, we are proud to be a fully equipped Rogue training facility. Our space includes top-tier squat racks, Ski Ergs, Bike Ergs, Lat Pulldown machines, and a wide range of kettlebells (13lb to 70lb) and dumbbells (5lb to 70lb). We also offer specialized barbells, battle ropes, weight sleds, jump ropes, rings, plyo boxes, and more-providing our members with the tools they need for effective, dynamic strength and conditioning workouts.
